Shopify allows the user to create the own e-commerce in a simple, fast and with a good level of customization.
But before going into the details of Shopify, let’s clarify the 4 points that distinguish this type service, i.e. a “customizable, adaptable and ready-to-use” e-commerce platform.
The adaptability of the service means that it is used both by small companies (start-ups or sole proprietorships and professionals), and by companies with hundreds or thousands of employees!
In the previous paragraph we stated how simple it is to use Shopify and we have to emphasize it again! Usually, when dealing with this type of service, the balance always hangs disproportionately on one side in terms of ease of use and opportunities offered: in this case Shopify manages instead to offer many useful functions and services with, at the same time, a remarkable simplicity and immediacy.
The software has all the basic tools you need to start your own e-commerce: integration and support with payment systems (credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay and Stripe to name a few, but they are more than 100 in total those supported!), recovery of abandoned carts, monitoring/statistics on all useful data to evaluate how your store is performing (visits, most visited pages and detailed statistics of all kinds) and so on.
But there is one fact that we must keep an eye on: Shopify has its own “store” containing, at the time of writing, more than 1200 plugins, both free and paid, any what you really want to integrate/do with this service is feasible!
One of the most important features of Shopify is certainly the great integration and adaptability it offers. Nowadays, diversifying your sales channels is very important, as people approach selling in different ways: the good news is that Shopify allows you to integrate your Store with some of the largest online sales channels. This means that you will be able to integrate/connect your online shop with sales platforms such as Facebook (remember that for some time now the Facebook marketplace has been having some success among users), a Instagram and also the highly visited marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay.
This type of integration is fantastic, because it allows you to move across multiple channels, paying the “rent” of one single store: it’s like having 4 shops in 4 different cities but only paying the rent for one place! Not bad, right?
As for delivering the package to your customer, Shopify allows you to adjust shipping rates based on weight, total order amount (useful for setting free shipping after a certain amount), or location. print shipping labels for deliveries and returns and also supports the dropshipping sales method.
For some years now, mobile browsing has surpassed desktop browsing, with the majority of users purchasing from their Smartphone and Tablet devices; in such a situation, it is vital to point out that the themes available for Shopify are all mobile friendly, including those available for free.
The service offers truly remarkable assistance: telephone assistance and live chat 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and, if that weren’t enough, you can also resort to email or social networks !
By opting for the Shopify Plus plan (which is not present as a standardized option on the site but which must be requested by contacting the salesperson directly), you even have a personal agent for, in fact, dedicated personalized assistance that is truly tailor-made fit for us.
They act as a personal point of contact and are intended for enterprise-level companies that may have a more complex setup process.
If you are looking for a free, open source and similar service, unfortunately this is not the case…but the positive thing is that the minimum investment to make is just €27 a month for the Basic plan (+ 1.9% + 0.25 € of commissions on sales), which for those who intend to create a “serious” business, must necessarily be an investment doable. Then there are the Shopify and Advanced plans, respectively at €79 per month (+1.8% + €0.25 commission on sales) and €289 (+ 1.6% + €0.25 commission on sales) at the time of writing.

8 June 2021 at 14:39Surely to begin with it is the perfect software, easy to use and low costs to bear. Surely it’s also great not having to make updates and not worry about hosting but on the other hand it has the % on purchases (although low for many orders it could be an excessive cost.

4 February 2021 at 14:46I’ve been using it for several months and I must say that I’m enjoying it very well, of course my pet e-commerce only makes 200 orders a month, but I have everything I need to work perfectly. I advise. Mario
