Smartsupp is a Live chat tool with advanced additional features. The software is available in several languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Danish, Hungarian, Czech, Russian, Dutch and Polish.

The app is aimed at helping companies to improve the customer assistance experience, with a focus on conversions and study of user behavior on our site (there are several interesting features that allow it, we will see them later).

Used by over 58,000 companies, Smartsupp can boast among its customers the likes of Microsoft and Skoda.

Smartsupp is a very interesting and feature-rich software. Among its most useful features we certainly find the one for which it is mainly designed, namely the possibility of chatting in real time with the visitors of our site; the back-end is well done, user-friendly and complete: a notification will warn us if a new user starts a new conversation in the chat to which we must hurry to answer!

A really valuable feature is the one that allows us to record the screen viewed by users who visit our site. All this can make us understand many things, such as the ease of navigation between the pages of the website, how easy it is to follow the purchase process (complete an order) or perhaps it can show us any errors present, as can be a “404” page.

Up to now we have generally talked about “website”, but on which platforms can Smartsupp be installed?
The list is truly endless: Prestashop, Magento, WordPress, Opencart, Joomla and… so much more ! In the following image an overview of the possible integrations.

Part not to be underestimated: we could also use Smartsupp from our mobile devices (smartphones and tablets), so as to be able to participate in chats from anywhere, at any time. And if we (or our staff) are not available to respond to a new request in the chat, what can we do? In this case Smartsupp provides us with the possibility of being able to create and set up a series of automatic messages, which will allow the customer to interact with the chosen options, up to guiding him along the path we have devised (let us contact by mail or by phone, solve your problem directly or answer a specific question thanks to the FAQ).

Let’s start by saying that the software can also be used for free, and we are not talking about a free trial, but a real and totally free version, which for those who don’t have very high expectations it can be more than fine. Alternatively, however, if you want to take advantage of all the functions offered by the software, there are 3 other types of subscription, “Standard”, “Pro” and “Ultimate”, which can be activated both with monthly and annual billing; this last option allows you to have a 33% discount on the list price.

But let’s see what these subscription plans offer in detail (the prices taken into consideration are related to the annual billing):

  • Standard at the cost of €15/month. Includes: live chat, mail and Facebook Messenger as communication channel, 3 agents (upgradeable to 6), unlimited conversations per month, conversation history up to 1 year, 5 auto messages, 10,000/month video recordings, statistics and team routing , help center, customer service, visitor filters, unlimited number of web pages, e-commerce platform integrations, web and mobile apps and more that we invite you to consult on the “Prices” page of the official website.
  • Pro at a cost of €72/month. Includes: live chat, mail and Facebook Messenger as communication channel, 3 agents (upgradeable to 20), unlimited conversations per month, conversation history up to 3 years, 10 auto messages, 50,000/month video recordings, statistics and team routing, help center, customer service, visitor filters, unlimited number of web pages, e-commerce platform integrations, web and mobile apps and more that we invite you to consult on the “Prices” page of the official website.< /li>
  • Ultimate from 2000€/year. It allows tailor-made solutions and you should contact the software administrators for more information. Generally includes: custom limits, custom number of agents, AI conversational chatbot integration, all advanced features, dedicated customer manager, individual contract, payment by bank transfer.

The Standard and Pro plans give you the possibility to take advantage of 14 days free trial before purchasing the subscription.

PROS

  • Free plan that provides good basic features, which allow us to actually use it without paying a subscription (for more structured companies or companies that need many agents, however, buying a paid plan is almost inevitable).< /li>
  • User Friendly both in the back-end (operator) and in the front-end (visitors).
  • Also usable on mobile devices.
  • Good depth of analysis, especially thanks to the function that allows us to record the screen viewed by users: it opens up many possibilities for analysis.
  • Automatic Messages.

CONS

  • We would have liked the presence of detailed statistics also in the Standard plan.

    I chose to use Smartsupp mainly for 2 reasons: not bad customization and possibility of in-depth analysis, with also the possibility of recording the screen to see how the user moves within our site/store, in order to understand if there are problems that undermine the user experience and damage the purchase conversion rate. For the rest it has all the features that other sector software also have, nothing more, nothing less, there is everything we need.
    I think the price is quite good, I am convinced that quality must always be paid for!

    I start by saying that I have been using smartsupp for several years now, so I know what I’m talking about.
    The main reason why I preferred it over other software like livechat or purechat is the great possibility of integrating it with other software. I also really appreciated the possibility of personalization offered and the fact of being able to record the screen to see how our customers behave is exceptional.
    Fair price, ok assistance and more than intuitive interface.

    A warranty.
    There is no better software to provide assistance to your customers / visitors without spending a fortune.
    To praise the fact that the free version is also very usable at a professional level: I upgraded to the standard version for the possibility of personalizing the chat by giving it a branding identity like the ecommerce I own, for the chat history at 1 year and a bit to reward this beautiful software. 5 out of 5 stars

    I use Smartsupp on dozens of e-commerce sites for my customers, it has always done its duty very well. Simple, intuitive, clean interface and decidedly popular prices (for newborn e-commerce you can also start with the free version). Recommended with flying colours.
